Qualifications and experience

I trained at the Minster Centre, London, and hold an MA and Higher Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, accredited by UKCP. I also have a BACP accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling, from the Minster Centre.

I have completed the Converging Streams Course in Energy Psychotherapy, and I am a member of ACEP, the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology - the largest international organisation that promotes the research and application of energy psychology approaches. I have done further trainings in AIT (Advanced Integrative Therapy), Ask & Receive, Tapas Acupressure Therapy, Acupoint tapping, Donna Eden's energy methods and Phil Mollon's Blue Diamond Healing.

For the last 10 years I have worked pro bono for MEET in Oxford, a charity that offers free or low cost trauma therapy to people who have not been able to access treatment on the NHS and cannot afford to pay private fees. MEET in Oxford offers two evidence-based approaches - EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) and Energy Psychotherapy methods. In 2023 I took on the new role of Clinical Lead, with the remit to support and supervise our therapists, run Self-Care groups for our clients, and develop the strategic aims of the charity.

I also have a Certificate in Couples Counselling from Re-Vision, London, and have previously worked as a bereavement counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care in Oxford and Cheltenham, and as a young persons counsellor for Cotswold Counselling Service in Cirencester.

I am an experienced coach for people with work-related issues, and enjoy supporting and mentoring clients to face new challenges and achieve their best.

I am a registered member of UKCP and subscribe to their code of ethics. I regularly attend training courses and conferences in order to develop my professional practice.

I have an honours degree in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University.

My background

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for many years in film, television and the corporate sector as a director, and also taught acting and film to drama and film students. This experience has given me an understanding of the world of business, the pressures of the workplace, and the challenges that face many people today in trying to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
